The Niagara® 8224 is a high-density media encoder, designed and optimized to capture, encode, stream, and archive premium quality audio and video on eight fully independent channels simultaneously. The Niagara 8224 includes two of ViewCast’s most versatile software applications – Niagara SCX® and SimulStream® – both pre-configured and ready to use. These award-winning tools empower you to set up, control, and monitor the Niagara streaming system using a single, easy-to-use interface. Capture, encode, stream and archive video in a wide variety of popular encoding and streaming formats.

Increased flexibility

Niagara SCX remote management software together with SimulStream, enables you to create multiple streams in different formats in real time, giving you the flexibility to create exactly the right content for your audience. You can encode different streams for Intranet users, high-speed Internet users, dial-up users and users with mobile devices – all at the same time! You can customize each stream with:

• Individual sizing and scaling
• Bitmap overlays (such as logos and graphics)
• Closed-caption pre-rendering, etc.
